  This was such a crappy place to work. They had favorites and gave some workers special privileges over others. For example, a few days after I got hired, they said they'd allow me to take 5 days off to go on a summer trip to Banff. Then when the time came, they refused to give me the time off. They said I'd have to wait a year to get any days off. I don't why the Phase 2 management lied to me about their vacation policy. Then they gave this girl they just hired 5 days off to move her apartment and she quits the next week. I stayed on the 16 months, until it closed down. It was rumored that the former Phase 2 manager used to pay the barber at Sorrentos, across the street from us, to spy on workers and make sure workers weren't goofing around. That money should have gone to the workers instead. We'd come to work everyday watching to to see if the Sorrentos barber was watching us from across the street. Can you imagine working under those conditions? It's been 13 years since I worked at this hellhole for 16 months in T.O. So glad it went out of business. I think The Labor Board of Ontario should be investigating some of their practices.
